Haddonfield School Districts invites community to free virtual parenting workshop

Event to review on-the-spot techniques for managing stress, anxiety and frustration amidst tough parenting spots.

Living with a neurodiversity is not easy. Not for parents, not for siblings, and most of all, not for the child with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, etc. On Wednesday, Feb. 9 from 8 to 9 p.m., Guiding Bright Minds is hosting a virtual parenting event “Parenting Meltdowns: How to Coach yourself Through Tough Situations with Your Neurodiverse Child.”

Dr. Brian Wolff with Wolff Child Psychology and Elizabeth Nallenweg LCSW and VP of Care Integration at Ascend Behavior Partners are here to help!

• They will identify ways you can manage stress and how to best support your child and yourself when a meltdown happens.

• Learn how to cope and stay in control before, during and after your child’s meltdowns.

• You have the power to get through even the most challenging situations with your child! In this workshop, we will explore quick, on-the-spot techniques to help you manage stress, frustration, and anxiety whenever you find yourself in a tough parenting spot.

• Ask the Expert! Are there questions or concerns you would like to ask? If so, there will be a 15-to-20-minute Q&A session after the presentation.
