Arrests made in connection with Deptford Township burglary

The investigation also revealed that the same subjects were involved in similar burglary incidents throughout South Jersey

On Jan. 6, at approximately 5 a.m. Deptford Township Police Department Patrol units were dispatched to Yogi’s Quick Shop, located at 1212 Cooper St. for an alarm. On location, it was determined that the front window of the business had been smashed out. Several items had been stolen from inside the business; including tobacco products and cash.

Members of the Deptford Township Police Criminal Investigations Division (CID) immediately began what would become an intensive investigation. The investigation revealed that several subjects took part in this burglary. The investigation also revealed that these same subjects were involved in similar burglary incidents in several jurisdictions throughout South Jersey.

Three arrests were made for the following:

  1. Shaheed S. Appleton, 32, of Glassboro, N.J. for burglary, theft and criminal mischief
  2. Jennifer R. Clinton, 34, of Westville, N.J. for burglary, theft and criminal mischief
  3. Nicole Tenuto, 40, of Oaklyn, N.J. for burglary, theft and criminal mischief

The Deptford Township Police Department would like to thank the following agencies with assisting in this investigation: Gloucester Township Police Department, Washington Township Police Department, Mount Ephraim Police Department, Bellmawr Police Department, Somerdale Police Department, Voorhees Police Department, Cherry Hill Police Department, and the New Jersey State Police Real Time Crime Center – South.

Criminal charges are mere allegations of wrongdoing. Every defendant is considered innocent unless, and until, they are found guilty in a court of law.
