Haddonfield celebrates two businesses on Saturday

There will be a ribbon-cutting for a new eatery and an anniversary for a decade-old store

The Commissioners will be at Haddonfields’ newest eatery on Saturday, Jan. 8 at 10 a.m. for a ribbon-cutting with owners David Murray and Walter Gouldsbury of Crumb, located on Lantern Lane by Haddy the dinosaur sculpture.  Murray is the former owner of the restaurant Denim; Gouldsbury is a Haddonfield resident and owner of The Custard Cart, an off-premise catering company/custard-based dessert business. The two decided to partner to create a “crave-worthy” sandwich experience using homemade bread and “mindfully sourced ingredients.”  The sandwich shop opened in the fall and already has a loyal following.

The Borough Commissioners congratulate Hooked on their 10th Anniversary celebration on Saturday, Jan. 8 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., 411 N.  Haddon Avenue.

Hooked is Haddonfields’ only yarn shop that owner Danique Martin purchased a decade ago, which has a wide selection of yarns and offers classes in Knitting and Crochet. Martin, a crafter since childhood, has always enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting; she left a career in corporate marketing to turn her passion into a business. After teaching at Woolplay for three years, she purchased the store in 2012, and Hooked was born. Martin says, “There is something for everyone at Hooked, and we make sure every customer gets the attention and assistance they deserved.”

Hooked will celebrate its 10th Anniversary Friday and Saturday with giveaways and special events planned both days.
