Roadwork to cause road closure in Cherry Hill beginning this week

There will be road closures in segments of Church Road between Kings Highway and Cooper Landing Road from Tuesday Jan. 4. to Friday, Jan. 28.

PSE&G will begin phase two of their gas main installation on Church Road in Cherry Hill on Tuesday, Jan. 4. There will be road closures in segments of Church Road between Kings Highway and Cooper Landing Road for the duration of the work period.

“Motorists need to be extra careful in the area of this construction and remain especially cognizant of crew members, and moving vehicles,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to Camden County Department of Public Works. “Until this project is completed, motorists should try to plan around the area and take extra caution when driving through the construction zone.”

Work hours will run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until Jan. 28.

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway and 50 bridges.  They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
