Shawnee High School announces Teacher of the Year

Teacher is involved in many ways at school

Shawnee High School proudly congratulates Jessica Riddle on being named Teacher of the Year.  

Jessica Riddle is in her 12th year of teaching and eighth year at Shawnee, she is the Class of 2024 Advisor and has been the head coach of the cheerleading squad for the past three years. She has also been the head coach of the dance team for the past two years.

Prior to this, she was an assistant cheer coach, assistant dance coach, and Class of 2020 Advisor. Riddle currently serves as the Coordinator of the 504 Committee and previously served on the No Place for Hate and Voices committees.  

Principal of Shawnee High School, Matthew Campbell spoke about Riddle and congratulated her.

 “Jessica Riddle is the perfect candidate for Teacher of the Year as she is a dedicated teacher who earns the respect of students and peers. Jessica goes above and beyond in creative ways to serve the students of Shawnee. As a 12-year veteran in the classroom, she never tires of finding new and inventive ways of teaching her students. We are grateful for the ways she is devoted to Shawnee High School because Jessica makes Shawnee a better place for her students and peers,”
