Update – suspect in custody for fatal hit and run crash

Philadelphia man surrenders to Cherry Hill Police Department after the fatal pedestrian hit and run on Thanksgiving.

The following release is according to the Cherry Hill Police Department.

On Dec. 3, 2021 Michael R. Rodgers Jr., 29, of Philadelphia, PA surrendered himself to the Cherry Hill Police Department for charges relating to the Thanksgiving evening hit and run pedestrian crash which killed Tabreia R. Ewing, 29, of Camden, NJ.  

Rodgers was processed on a complaint warrant for Knowingly Leaving the Scene of a Fatal  Motor Vehicle Accident and Obstructing the Administration of Law. He was remanded to the Camden County Jail pending a pre-trail detention hearing.  

All persons charged with a crime are innocent until proven guilty in an appropriate court of law.
