Haddonfield Tennis Association pro inducted into South Jersey Tennis Hall of Fame

Mitch Winkler is a former Courier Post All South Jersey Player of the Year, number 1 ranked junior in New Jersey, and twice half of the number 1 ranked Men’s Doubles Team in New Jersey.

Special to The Sun/The Sun: Haddonfield resident Mitch Winkler was recently inducted into the South Jersey Tennis Hall of Fame.

Mitch Winkler, Haddonfield Tennis Association Pro, was recently inducted into the inaugural class of the South Jersey Tennis Hall of Fame. Winkler is a former Courier Post All South Jersey Player of the Year, number 1 ranked junior in New Jersey, and twice half of the number 1 ranked Men’s Doubles Team in New Jersey.

Winkler coached the Paul VI High School Girls Tennis Team to its first and only South Jersey Non Public A Sectional Championship and was selected as the Philadelphia Inquirer South Jersey Girls High School Coach of the Year. Winkler returned to coaching and in 2015 led the Bishop Eustace Girls Team to its first and only South Jersey Non Public A Sectional Championship, becoming the only girls high school coach in South Jersey history to win a sectional championship at 2 different schools.

Winkler is currently the tennis pro at the Wedgewood Swim Club and the Haddonfield High School Boys and Girls Developmental Coach.
