Joint land use board discuss private property developments

Residents approved for pool and deck installations

Harrison Township’s Joint Land Use Board met on Nov. 18, opening the session with consideration of a review from Harrison Township Little League for a press box at Ella Harris Recreation Park.

Resolutions were made for the majority of the meeting. The board approved minor subdivisions with planning and bulk variances for Nicholaos and Anna Yiantsos.

The board adopted an amended redevelopment plan marked as the “Tomlin Station Amended Redevelopment Plan.” The specific area includes block 46, lots 3.03, 3.04, 4.06, 4.07, 4.08, 4.09, 4.11 and 5, block 46.01, lots 1, 2, and 3 block 46.02, lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 on the township tax map.

A maximum lot coverage variance was approved to start the construction of a new residential swimming pool at 101 Wheatley Blvd. and at 405 Winchester Terrace. A side-yard setback variance was approved for a new residential deck to be built in the rear of an existing home at 521 Cohawkin Road.

The board granted use of variance relief to permit the conversion of an existing office building from institutional to professional office use. It will affect Levco Enterprises LLC at 134 Bridgeton Pike.

Applications for required frontage at 439 Clems Run Road and a bulk variance for fence height at 210 Woodline Court were discussed.

Inspira Medical Centers at routes 322 and 55 had a preliminary and final major site plan amended. Two public preliminary investigations for proposed areas in need for redevelopment were also addressed.

The next joint land use board meeting will be held on Thursday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. It will be one of the last board and committee meetings in the township for the year.
