Camden County announces 503 new cases this week

Numbers remain high in Camden County, Cherry Hill and Gloucester Township. County sees 122 cases involving minors this week.

The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 282 new positive cases of COVID-19 which occurred between Tuesday, November 23 and Friday, November 26, bringing the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases in Camden County to 62,320 and 1,354 total fatalities.

Of the 503 new cases, 122 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected has ranged from 32 to 35 years old this week.

This week’s cases involved residents living in the following municipalities:

“The high case count we’ve recorded over the last two days just shows that this pandemic is not over yet,” said Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “Vaccines and booster shots are still the best way that we can protect ourselves while cases are on the rise. To date, 437,679 Camden County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 319,248 are fully vaccinated and 76,059 have received a third dose. More information regarding vaccination rates throughout the county and available on the state’s COVID-19 dashboard at covid19.nj.gov.

The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Delta variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
