Special to The Sun: Retired Cherry Hill Chief Police William “Bud” Monaghan has joined the Jewish Federation Team as Director of Regional Security.

The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey is pleased to announce that William “Bud” Monaghan has joined the Jewish Federation team as the Director of Regional Security.

Monaghan recently retired from his position as Chief of the Cherry Hill Police Department after 26 years of service and started his new position with the Jewish Federation on November 15. In his new role as Jewish Federation’s Regional Director of Security, Monaghan will oversee the security and safety of the community and staff at the properties and facilities of the Jewish Federation and our family of agencies, as well as advise and coordinate on security for area synagogues and Jewish day schools. Monaghan will work closely with Sean Redmond, Jewish Federation Safety and Security Manager for the 1301 campus.

Monaghan brings a wealth of experience to his new role with the Jewish Federation. He is an incredible community builder and knows our South Jersey Jewish community well, having worked closely with us during his time with the Cherry Hill Police Department.
