The seventh annual Veterans Haven 5K run/1-mile walk, sponsored by local American Legion posts, will take place Saturday, Dec. 11 at 9 a.m. The race will start and finish at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 200 Windsor Ave.Â
Medals will be awarded to overall winners and top female and male in each age division. The proceeds will go to Veterans Haven South in Winslow, N.J., a transitional facility for homeless/unemployed veterans with a 75 percent success rate.
