Michelle Nocito and Jason Ravitz appear to win reelection

Voorhees Public Schools Board of Education may see two new faces according to unofficial election results.

Democratic incumbents Michelle Nocito and Jason Ravitz appear to be renewing their terms with Voorhees Township Committee, as they ran unopposed for this year’s election.

Nocito received 49.87 percent of the vote while Ravitz received 48.68 percent of the vote in the uncontested election.

For the three open seats on the Voorhees Public Schools Board of Education, it is a tight race with incumbent Monica Watson (3,640) taking the lead, followed by Randi Stoopler (3,434) and Rachel Van Aken (3,355), narrowly beating out candidates Tara Edel (3,294), Deborah Wellings (3,210). This is as of 11:46 p.m. on Wednesday evening, Nov. 3.

For the two open seats on the Eastern Regional High School Board of Education, incumbents Robert Campbell (5,006) and Veronica Parker (4,951) are on track to renew their term with the board.

In the race to fill three seats on the Camden County  Board of Commissioners, with 98 percent of precincts reporting, Democrat incumbents Jeffrey Nash (84,909), Melinda Kane (84,275) and Almar Dyer (81,762) are on track to keep their seats against Republican candidates Jennifer Moore (50,996) Johanna Scheets (49,703) and Rachel Boberg (49,168).

With 99 percent of precincts reporting, Democrat James Beach is currently outpacing Republican John Foley in the race for State Senate 6th District by 20,000 votes.

For the General Assembly, and with 99 percent of the vote in, Democrats Louis Greenwald and Pamela Lampitt are on track to win against Republican candidates Ed Farmer and Rich Super.

Democrat Gilbert ‘Whip’ Wilson, running unopposed for Sheriff, has received 96,814 votes.

The race for the governorship of New Jersey was not officially decided as of deadline, but incumbent Governor Phil Murphy appears headed for the top job in Trenton once more, fending off a challenge from GOP counterpart Jack Ciattarelli. In Camden County, with 338 of 343 precincts reporting, Murphy holds a lead of more than 24,000 votes over Ciattarelli. Murphy would become the first Democrat to be sent back to the state capitol by voters since Brendan Byrne in 1977.
