Join the Friends of the Indian King Tavern Museum on Saturday, Oct. 16 for an open house followed by a unique historical performance. The open house begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 4 p.m.Â
Then, at 4 p.m., Neill Hartley, of American Historical Theatre, portrays Washington Irving, the father of the American short story, bringing you into Irving’s world, introducing you to his work, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” The literary lion narrates his tale and then enters his story, becoming his alter ego, Ichabod Crane.
The event is free, but donations are suggested.Â
