Markeim Arts Center returns to in-person exhibitions

Anthony Johnson the featured artist, this Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Join Markeim Arts Center as it celebrates its first LIVE exhibit reception since 2019. Anthony Johnson Show Opening Reception is set for this Saturday, Sept. 25, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cameras welcome.
Anthony Johnson is an artist and father of three, based out of Collingswood. Johnson’s practice is centered in neo-expressionism, with inspiration and subject matter pulling from his daily life and, most importantly, the memories and experiences he’s gained from childhood into his adult life.
Johnson is a self-taught artist and has been perfecting his practice since 2015, which is centered in mixed media and employs the use of oil, acrylic, spray paint, pastels, and resin. Johnson creates exquisite works of art that tell the life stories of Johnson as well as of those of his loved ones and the community around him. Johnson considers himself extremely blessed to have a family while also enjoying quality time pursuing his passion of painting.
