Release according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
The latest edition of “CBS 3 Mysteries” featured the unsolved murder of a man in Camden earlier this year.
Reporter Joe Holden interviewed Detective Brad Redrow with the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit about the death of Santino Thomas, 28, of Sicklerville. Holden also spoke with the victim’s mother, Michelle Wilson.
“He was a family person. He loved his kids, he loved me, of course. He loved his brothers, his sisters. He used to play a lot of jokes and be silly. He was a very caring person. Everybody loved him,” Wilson told Holden.
The full “CBS 3 Mysteries” report is available on the CBS website, which includes surveillance video.
Officers found Thomas suffering from a gunshot wound around 9 p.m. on January 28 on the 1300 block of Browning Street. He was pronounced dead around 9:30 p.m. at the hospital.
“Our thoughts are with the family of Santino Thomas, including his mother who bravely spoke in front of the camera because she desperately wants justice for her son,” said Acting Camden Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer. “Thank you to Joe Holden and CBS 3 for collaborating with our office to help give this family peace. Our homicide unit continues to work diligently to solve this case. We hope that someone will come forward with information that gets them one step closer.”
