Inspira Health has announced they will be offering flu vaccines to the community and patients, beginning Oct. 1, by walk-in or appointment at multiple distribution sites. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that individuals make plans to get vaccinated early in the fall, before flu season begins, and ideally no later than the end of October.

Flu vaccination during the 2021-2022 season will help protect the public against preventable illness, as well as help alleviate the burden on the health care system already strained by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“At Inspira, the safety of our patients, staff and the community has, and will always be, our number one priority,” President and CEO of Inspira Health Amy Mansue said. “This year’s flu season will coincide with the COVID-19 pandemic and the rising Delta variant, and we must take preventative measures and be proactive about our health and the health of our community.

“With an in-person school year upon us and some people returning to the office, the flu vaccine is an easy way to protect yourself and those around you.”

Flu shots are conveniently available at various locations, including Inspira’s Urgent Care Centers, retail pharmacies, and IMG practice offices.

The Inspira Retail Pharmacy in Mullica Hill is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed on weekends and holidays. Walk-in appointments are encouraged.

Primary care physicians will provide the flu vaccine to all patients at the time of visit with their provider or by an appointment. Patients can schedule an appointment with their primary care doctor or an Inspira Health Center by calling 1-800-INSPIRA.
