Barclay Farmstead to host ‘welcome event’ in October

Folks from the township and surrounding areas are welcome to stop by on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On Saturday, Oct. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Barclay Farmstead is hosting a Welcome-to-the-Farm event. There will be crafts, games, chickens, apple pie contest, picnicking, vendors, music and so much more.

Presentations

·       Presentation: “Fiber Arts” by the South Jersey Guild of Spinners & Handweavers 10:00 to 10:30

·       Presentation: “Arboretums” by the Engels from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.

·       Presentation: “Scoop the Coop-Chickens, Sustainability and Gardening” by Gwenne Baile from 11 to 11:30 a.m. (Children can pet her chickens, Sandie and Lizzie.)

·       Presentation: “Woodworking” by Karl Newman from noon to 12:30 p.m.

·       Presentation: “Saving the Monarchs” by Keith Monahan at 1:30 to 2:00

Music: Richard Layton will entertain us with his guitar playing. Cherry Hill’s own Faith Kidd will sing for us from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Please bring chairs or blankets to listen and relax.
