“We are far outpacing the number of new cases we were seeing each day at this time last year – the Delta variant has changed the nature of this pandemic,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “After nearly 18 months of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are all eager to put this crisis behind us. At this stage, the only way we can do that quickly and safely is to get everyone in our community vaccinated. The vaccines are safe, free, and effective. We need every eligible person 12 years old and up to get their shot and help us stop the spread.”

To date, 312,321 Camden County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 283,078 are fully vaccinated. More information regarding vaccination rates throughout the county and available on the state’s COVID-19 dashboard at covid19.nj.gov.

The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Delta variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
