County officials to hold COVID-19 Delta variant town hall

Live, in person event to begin at 1 p.m. also livestreamed.

The Camden County Board of County Commissioners and the Camden County Health Department will host a virtual town hall to address resident questions and concerns regarding the COVID-19 Delta Variant, the ongoing vaccine rollout, and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli will be joined by Caryelle Lasher, assistant public health coordinator for the Camden County Health Department, and Camden Mayor Vic Carstarphen from Roosevelt Hall on Camden County College’s Blackwood campus.

The event will begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 3, and will be streaming live on the county’s website as well as on the county’s Facebook page. Questions from the public are already being collected on CamdenCounty.com, and residents will have the opportunity to submit questions during the town hall on Facebook.

“We are continuing to aggressively monitor how Delta is affecting the nature of this pandemic and the best strategy to respond,” Cappelli said. “We need people to recognize that this pandemic is not over and that we need to keep up the fight. Delta is changing everything we knew about COVID-19, but we can beat this if everyone gets vaccinated.”
