Thirty-three COVID-19 cases identified in Camden County

Camden sees spike of 14 cases.

 

The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 33 new positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases in Camden County to 50,000 and 1,236 total fatalities.

“We’ve eliminated virtually every barrier to getting vaccinated that existed at the start of our rollout,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “You can now walk up to most vaccine sites without an appointment and get your shot free of charge. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Get protected as soon as possible and help us put this pandemic in the rear view.”

To date, 296,672 Camden County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 270,032 are fully vaccinated. More information regarding vaccination rates throughout the county and available on the state’s COVID-19 dashboard at covid19.nj.gov.

The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Delta variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
