CANstruction organized by AIA West Jersey and United Way of Gloucester County to benefit Food Bank of South Jersey

The event takes place on July 24, from 11 to 5 p.m.

Theme: Make Hunger Take Flight

Time: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. 

CANstruction is a nonprofit organization that hosts annual competitions showcasing structures made entirely out of canned goods. The designs are used to bring awareness to the issues surrounding hunger in our community.

Come, watch teams of architects, engineers, contractors, designers, and students build structures entirely made out of canned goods, and vote for your favorite. All of the cans used at CANstruction will be donated to the Food Bank of South Jersey.

CANstruction Carnival

Time: 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Donate canned goods to support the Food Bank of South Jersey in exchange for family-friendly entertainment. Receive 1 amusement ticket for each canned good that is donated. Stop at the Ticket Booth in Center Court to make your canned good donation and receive your amusement tickets to enjoy the fun!

Activities:

Face Painting – 1 ticket per child

Balloon Sculpting – 1 ticket per child

Meet Curious George – 2 tickets per child

Carnival Games – 1 ticket per game

Magic Show – 1 ticket per person to attend: 1:30PM & 2:30PM showtimes

Most Items Needed:

Canned vegetables (low sodium)

Canned fruit (in water)

Canned meats (tuna, chicken, ham)

Canned meals (hearty soups & stews)

Cereal & other breakfast type items (complete pancakes mix, granola bars)
