Mt. Laurel township awarded $10,000 grant to advance sustainability goals

The funds will be used for a new farmers market in Rancocas Woods.

Mount Laurel Township was awarded a $10,000 Sustainable Jersey grant funded by the PSEG Foundation for a new farmers market in Rancocas Woods.  

The farmers market will be one of the latest projects to support sustainability and local farmers,  increase accessibility to food, and grow the Mount Laurel economy. The Sustainable Jersey grant awards fund a range of projects for municipalities participating in environmental initiatives. The  PSEG Foundation has contributed $2.5 million dollars in funding to the Sustainable Jersey grants program for municipalities and schools.  

“We are excited to welcome a new, fresh farmer’s market to the Mount Laurel community. My sincerest appreciation to Sustainable Jersey and the PSEG Foundation for supporting Mount  Laurel’s latest achievement in sustainability and local farmers. Also, a big thank you to the  Rancocas Business Association for their innovative and continued efforts to revitalize Mount  Laurel’s Shops along the Rancocas Woods.” stated Mayor Steglik.
