Today marks the third time since the pandemic began that new cases were in the single digits.

The Camden County Department of Health is announcing nine additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 49,322 in Camden County today and 1,204 total fatalities.

“We have had fewer than 10 new cases in a single day just two other times since the start of this pandemic last March. Today’s low case count and our sustained progress over the last several weeks shows us how effective our vaccination efforts have been in combination with warmer weather,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “We are turning a corner, but this virus is still in our community. The only way to truly defeat this virus and end this pandemic is for everyone to get vaccinated. Vaccines are readily available and free. If you haven’t gotten your shot yet, head to a provider near you as soon as possible.”
