CamCo reports 33 new COVID cases

Mass vaccination effort continues to cut into the daily average number of cases over last six weeks.

The Camden County Department of Health on Friday announced 33 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 49,042 in Camden County today and 1,190 total fatalities.

“With more than 216,000 county residents already fully vaccinated, we have made incredible strides in our pursuit of achieving herd immunity,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.

“That said, we still have a long way to go until we’ve stopped the spread of this virus in our community. If you haven’t gotten your shot yet, please visit our vaccine center or another provider as soon as possible to get protected and help put this pandemic behind us.”

Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
