Medford Rotary to recognize hometown heroes with Field of Honor

The Field of Honor will be held in Medford's Freedom Park from May 29 to June 4

Rick Jagodzinski placed one of over 200 American flags in Freedom Park in 2019 for Medford’s week-long Field of Honor ceremony. The event was organized by the Medford Sunrise Rotary ahead of the Memorial Day holiday (Andrew Turco/The Sun).

The following release is from Medford Sunrise Rotary:

The 2021 Burlington County Field of Honor will be held in Medford’s Freedom Park from May 29 through June 4. This amazing field of over 320 full-size American flags, gently waving in the breeze is a somber and patriotic display of unity where all Burlington County citizens can come together to pay tribute to our hometown heroes.

You can sponsor your hero who served in uniform, as a first responder, a loved one no longer with us, or simply to make this wonderful event possible. Your $50 donation entitles you to a medallion attached to a flag that details the contribution of somebody who made our community and our nation a better place.

All proceeds will be used by Medford Sunrise Rotary for charitable purposes, such as those causes that serve injured combat veterans, promote peace, and similar worthy charities.
