Swab to save a life on May 22

Berlin resident seeks bone marrow donor. Potential donors can be added to the registry by stopping by Berlin Borough Hall on May 22 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

From 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Be the Match is hosting “Swab to Save a Life” on May 22 at the Berlin Borough Hall. It is a contactless drive through event where potential bone marrow donors will register and swab their cheeks from their vehicle. From there, doctors search for patient matches, like Berlin resident Chrissie Brown Torres who was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer last year. Donors must be between 18 and 44 years old, in general good health and willing to donate to any patient. Register at http://join.bethematch.org/match4chrissie.
