Gloucester Township holds Memorial Day ceremony at Veterans Park on May 31

Mayor David Mayer and Chief of Police David Harkins will be traveling to the eight veteran memorials before culminating the tribute with a service at Veterans Park.

Every Memorial Day Gloucester Township holds a Memorial Day ceremony at Veterans Park to honor and mourn those who died while serving in the United States Military.

This year’s ceremony will take place on May 31, at 12 p.m., at Veterans Memorial at 1261 Chews Landing Road. Mayor David Mayer and Chief of Police David Harkins will be traveling to the eight veteran memorials before culminating the tribute with a service at Veterans Park.

The list of memorials are:

  • American Legion Post 281
  • Glendora VFW Post 8714
  • 9th Avenue Monument, Glendora
  • Blackwood VFW Post 7927
  • Gloucester Township School
  • Church St. Monument
  • Gloucester Township Community Park
  • Erial Cemetery, Erial
  • Veterans Memorial Park
