CamCo records only 69 new cases

County witnesses nice, noticeable drop-off in number of new coronavirus infections after weeks of daily averages over 100.

The Camden County Department of Health revealed on Tuesday 69 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 47,342 in Camden County today and 1,167 total fatalities.

“Even with half of our adult population having received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, we are still seeing dozens of new cases every day,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.

“If we are going to move past this pandemic, we will need to reach herd immunity via vaccination. If you haven’t gotten your vaccine yet, now is the time to schedule an appointment or find a walk-in site, and do whatever it takes to protect yourself and your community.”

Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

To date, 385,065 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Camden County. There are 230,483 people with at least one vaccine dose, and 170,894 people who are fully vaccinated.
