CamCo logs nine new deaths and 133 new COVID cases

To date, 328,086 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Camden County. There are 203,757 people with at least one vaccine dose, and 140,225 people who are fully vaccinated.

The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) is announcing nine new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 133 additional cases of the disease. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 45,262 in Camden County today and 1,144 total fatalities.

The following information is currently available regarding these most recent deaths in Camden County:

New Case 3: FEMALE. 70s, PINE HILL BOROUGH
New Case 4: FEMALE. 90s, WINSLOW TOWNSHIP
New Case 5: MALE. 70s, WINSLOW TOWNSHIP
New Case 6: MALE. 50s, BERLIN TOWNSHIP
New Case 7: MALE. 60s, CAMDEN CITY
New Case 8: MALE. 60s, CAMDEN CITY
New Case 9: MALE. 70s, GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP

 

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families today as we announce that nine additional members of our community have lost their battle with COVID-19,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.  “We are continuing to urge everyone to get vaccinated once they become eligible. Mass vaccination is our fastest, most effective weapon against this disease, and represents our best bet at reaching a post-pandemic world. The Department of Health is announcing 133 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

To date, 328,086 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Camden County. There are 203,757 people with at least one vaccine dose, and 140,225 people who are fully vaccinated.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 2,365 confirmed resident cases and 1,367 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 45,262 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 466 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as seven staff deaths, out of our 1,144 total fatalities countywide.

The county Health Department is currently working to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.
