Michael Canino, who is an association management client director at CMA, was named Crew Star for the first quarter.

CMA, a full-service communications, marketing and association management firm, announced today that Michael Canino, association management client director, has been named Crew Star for the first quarter. The award recognizes a team member each quarter for modeling and championing CMA’s core values, while spreading the positive principles to the team.

Canino, who lives in Cherry Hill, was selected for excellence in operations, governance, project management and event conferences for CMA’s clients, including the International Card Manufacturers Association, the International Function Point Users Group and the American Academy of Health Physics/American Board of Health Physics.

“Michael is part of the team that has our association management division on a high-growth trajectory,” said Jeffrey Barnhart, CEO and founder of CMA. “He is passionate about improving processes for his clients and collaborating on solutions with colleagues to support our company’s team approach. He also holds himself and others accountable for operational success for our clients.”

Canino continually works with the client’s board of directors and committee members to review existing process to determine what can be reduced, automated and possibly eliminated. Through this exercise, he is able to build a solid operational direction that results in efficiencies.

With this award, Canino will receive a reserved parking spot in the employee lot, lunch with CMA’s executive team, a pre-paid gift card, a certificate honoring his achievement and a prominently displayed headshot in the CMA lobby with past Crew Star winners.
