Voorhees resident appointed Medical Staff officer at Jefferson Health NJ

Dr. Gopika Banker of Voorhees has been appointed the Medical Staff Treasurer.

Jefferson Health – New Jersey has announced the appointment of its new Medical Staff officers, each elected for a two-year term:

Dr. Daniel Tarditi, Medical Staff President, is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. A graduate of RowanSOM, he is also fellowship trained in Cardiology. Dr. Tarditi is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Osteopathic Association, American Society of Echocardiography, and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. A cardiologist with The Heart House, Dr. Tarditi resides in Haddonfield, NJ.

Dr. Alan Lucerna, Medical Staff Vice President, is an attending physician at the Jefferson Stratford Hospital Emergency Department. Board certified in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine, Dr. Lucerna is a 2005 graduate of RowanSOM; he completed both his Internship and Residency through the medical school. A resident of Mount Holly, NJ, he is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Osteopathic Association and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Gopika Banker, Medical Staff Treasurer, is a board certified Nephrologist who is a member of Nephrology & Hypertension Associates of New Jersey in Voorhees, NJ, where she resides. After graduating from RowanSOM in 2005, Dr. Banker completed her internship, residency, and nephrology fellowship in 2010. She serves as Acute Dialysis Medical Director and is the section head for Nephrology at Jefferson Health – New Jersey. Dr. Banker is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association and American Society of Nephrology.

The election results were recently announced at Jefferson Health’s annual New Jersey Medical Staff meeting, held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Medical Staff Officers represent the interests of Jefferson’s New Jersey-based physicians and work closely with administration in strategic planning, quality improvement, and other healthcare delivery issues.
