Voorhees Breakfast Rotary Club shares Community Service Awards video

Three individuals and one non-profit honored for their contributions over the past year

The 2020 Voorhees Community Service Awards video is live, as the Voorhees Breakfast Rotary Club honor four recipients for their contributions to others during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Voorhees Breakfast Rotary Club announced the winners for its annual Community Service Awards earlier this year, recognizing three local individuals and one local non-profit for their contributions towards helping others in what has been a difficult past 12 months.

All four of this years recipients played substantial roles in helping others overcome the challenges that COVID-19 placed on our world, each in their own and unique ways. This years award winners are:

  • Chrissy Blizzard-Wrobel – providing PPE to area medical professionals
  • The Food Bank of South Jersey – providing food to Voorhees children in need
  • Helen Haley – coordinating Voorhees school system response to COVID
  • Jordan Grabelle – student volunteering to expand literacy

Typically, the award winners are recognized and honored at a banquet in their honor. However, this years recipients are being recognized through a video due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 20-minute video can be found here.
