GT police respond to fire at Howard Johnson Hotel

The fire was placed under control at approximately 5:30 a.m.

On 3/3/2021 at approximately 3:33 a.m. Hrs. Gloucester Township Police Dispatch received several calls for a reported fire at the Howard Johnson Hotel, 832 North Black Horse Pike in the Blenheim Section of Gloucester Township, New Jersey. Arriving officers observed heavy fire from the roof. Officers began to evacuate occupants as numerous fire companies arrived on location. Multiple fire companies operated on the fire which incorporated two of the three buildings.

The fire was placed under control at approximately 5:30 a.m. There were no injuries and a numerous amount of residents were displaced. State Highway Rt. 168, The Black Horse Pike, was shut down for an extended time between Almonesson and Brown Ave. The fire is currently under investigation by multiple agencies.
