Masons looking for worthy educators for financial award

Deadline to nominate teachers who go above and beyond is Apr. 15.

Rising Sun Lodge No. 15, F&AM, a Masonic lodge serving Haddonfield, Haddon Heights, Haddon Township, and Cherry Hill, is seeking nominees for its annual Educator-of-the-Year award.

The program is sponsored to recognize the invaluable contributions made by Teachers, Principals, and other Educational Administrators, especially those who exemplify the fundamental Masonic tenets of Friendship, Morality, and Brotherly Love in their work and day-to-day lives.

Over the past year our educators have faced unprecedented challenges in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.  With so much instruction occurring virtually, our students in the community have needed quality teachers more than ever. The candidate selected will receive a plaque and a cash award to be presented, pandemic permitting, at our annual Scholarship Banquet in June.

If you would like to nominate a candidate for Rising Sun Educator-of-the-Year, from any school system in the local area, please request a short application by sending your request, the name and school affiliation of your nominee, and your name, phone, and e-mail address to our Scholarship Chairman, David A. Frankel at: dafrankel@comcast.net

Completed applications will be due by Apr. 15.
