New Medford trash collection company starts Jan. 29

The township asks residents to be mindful as the new company learns the roads.

The contract for solid waste removal with Gold Medal Environmental expires on Jan. 28, 2021. After receiving and reviewing bids for Solid Waste Removal, the Township awarded a three year contract for trash collection to Republic Services at the Jan. 5 Township Council meeting.

Republic Services was the lowest responsible bidder and currently collects solid waste in several other Burlington County towns. Republic Services is currently working on the logistics of collections and will begin collecting residents’ trash on Jan. 29. Township officials have met with representatives from Republic and expect a smooth transition from the current provider.

For any trash related questions or concerns starting Jan. 29, please contact Republic Services at 856-533-5279, or email Rachel Lemmerman at rlemmerman@republicservices.com.

As Medford is a large community with a lot of small and narrow streets, the Township asks for your patience as they learn the routes and work to provide the best possible service to our residents.

Residents who have questions about trash collection may also call the Department of Neighborhood Services at 609-654-6791.
