CamCo reports 182 additional COVID-19 cases

Ten month totals approach 36,000 across the county.

The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 182 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 35,818 in Camden County today and 914 total fatalities.

“Today the seven-day average of new cases in Camden County fell below 200 for just the second time since November 12,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.

“We flattened the curve once and we are doing it again. After nearly a year of this pandemic, I continue to be in awe of the selflessness I see in our community as neighbors work to help and protect one another. If we keep wearing masks, social distancing, and avoiding indoor gatherings, then these trends will continue moving in the right direction.”

Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 2,206 confirmed resident cases and 1,210 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 35,818 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 437 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as five staff deaths, out of our 914 total fatalities countywide.
