Mantua police department reports burglaries, package theft

The following reports are on file with the Mantua Township Police Department.

Dec. 17

  • Officers assisted the Harrison Township Police Department with a vehicle that struck a pole and then fled the area.
  • Patrols responded to a tree branch in the roadway on Tyler Mill Road.
  • Units responded to Audubon Plumbing for a burglary that occurred overnight.
  • Officers responded to a crash on Tyler Mill Road in the area of Main Street where the vehicle slid off the road and needed to be towed
  • Patrols responded to a vehicle that slid into a ditch on Mantua Boulevard and needed to be towed out
  • Units assisted the Harrison Township Police Department in attempted to locate a missing person that was last seen in Mantua

 Dec. 18

  • Patrols monitored Mantua Avenue in Wenonah for vehicles not yielding to pedestrians in the cross walk.
  • Officers took a report for a vehicle that was burglarized overnight.
  • Units investigated a report of a package that was stolen from a front door.
  • Ptl. Oldrati conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested two subjects for active warrants. They were processed and released.
  • Ptl. Mroz and his K9 partner, Zuke, assisted the Deptford Township Police Department on a vehicle stop with a sniff for drugs.
  • Officers responded to a domestic disturbance where the male half broke things in the apartment and fled prior to our arrival.

Dec. 19

  • Officers took a harassment complaint for a juvenile victim that is being harassed via the Internet.
  • Units responded to a hit and run crash that occurred in the parking lot of the Wawa store on Route 45.
  • Patrols took a report for a stolen motor vehicle that was stolen by the victim’s son. Ptl. Smick located the vehicle a short time later and arrested him for the stealing the truck as well as drug related charges.
  • Officers took a harassment complaint for a victim that was being stalked by her ex.
  • Units responded to a crash on Mt Royal Rd near Bridgeton Pike.
  • Patrols responded to a female that was overdosing and Narcan had to be given to revive her.
  • Officers responded to a subject that was overdosing in Wenonah and had to be given Narcan.  They refused transport to the hospital.
  • Units responded to the Rite Aid on Glassboro Road for a shoplifter that had left prior to our arrival.
  • Patrols assisted Deptford Police that had requested a county-wide assist at the mall for a disturbance.

Dec. 20

  • Officers responded to a neighbor complaint where one neighbor spit on the other’s vehicle.
  • Patrols responded to the Home Depot for an irate customer at the paint desk.
  • Units assisted a subject with applying for a temporary restraining order.

Dec. 21

  • Officers, along with the Fire Department, investigated the smell of something burning in the area of the VFW on Main Street.
  • Cpl. Hauss conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested a subject for drug related charges as well as possession of imitation hand guns.
  • Units investigated a report of a missing township trash can, but it was located and there were no issues.
  • Cpl. Hauss conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested a subject on outstanding warrants. He was processed and released.
  • Patrols monitored Mantua Avenue in Wenonah for vehicles not yielding to pedestrians in the cross walk.
  • Ptl. Oldrati conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested a subject on outstanding warrants. She was processed and released.
  • Ptl. Krieger responded to a call for service and found a subject to be in possession of drugs. He was arrested, processed and released.

Dec. 22

  • Officers took a report for fraud involving the victim’s bank account.
  • Units investigated damage to a fence to the garden center on Center Street.
  • Patrols responded to a solicitation complaint for individuals attempting to sell solar panels.
  • Officers assisted Deptford Police with attempting to locate a missing suicidal subject.
  • Units took a report for a stolen handicapped plate.
  • Patrols responded to an ongoing neighbor dispute in the Royal Oak Apartments.
  • Ptl. Oldrati conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested two occupants for drug related charges.  They were processed and released.
