Obituary: Suzanne F. Felten

Florida resident, who spent significant time in Haddonfield and worshipped at the borough's Methodist Church, dies.

Suzanne Felten (nee Ford), of Vero Beach, Fla., and longtime Haddonfield resident, died on Dec. 6 at the age of 77.

She was the beloved wife of John Felten, loving sister of Lynette Selgrath, Steven Ford, Lance Ford, Keith Ford, Carolyn Ford and Karen Gorman, as well as the dear aunt of Dianna and Dorothy Marie Selgrath. Suzanne will also be deeply missed by her many friends and acquaintances in Philadelphia, Maine and Vero Beach.

Suzanne was born in Philadelphia in February, 1943 and was raised by her mother and father in Philadelphia and Gradyville, Pa. She graduated with honors from Penncrest High School, class of 1965, serving as captain of the cheerleading squad, and continued her “fame” as a cheerleader throughout her life.

Suzanne met John at a U.S.O. Ball in Philadelphia. It was love at first sight for John, and while it took a little longer, he became the love of her life as well. Suzanne and John were married for 52 wonderful years and she now returns to the place of their marriage, where John will join her someday. Suzanne will be remembered for her love of life, sense of humor and especially her loquaciousness.

A viewing will be held on Dec. 15, from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Haddonfield United Methodist Church, 29 Warwick Road. Her Funeral Service is scheduled to follow at 11 a.m. Interment is planned to take place at Haddonfield Methodist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Suzanne may be made to: Indian River Habitat for Humanity, IRHFH, 4568 North U.S. Highway 1, Vero Beach, Fla. 32967. (Please put In Memory of Suzanne Felten on memo line) https://www.irchabitat.org/donate/
