139 additional COVID-19 cases announced by Health Department

This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 14,402 in Camden County today and 588 total fatalities

The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 139 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 14,402 in Camden County today and 588 total fatalities.

“Yesterday, hospitalizations in the United States reached their highest point of the pandemic. Although deaths have not increased at the same rate as cases to this point, we should not be fooled into thinking that this crisis is under control,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “If we are going to get through the winter without the large-scale shutdowns we saw in the spring, then we are going to have to be more vigilant in our daily lives to prevent the spread of this virus. The lack of a stay at home order should not be interpreted as an invitation to go out, see friends, and party. Stay home as much as possible, wear a mask, and take every step you can to control this pandemic.”

The Department of Health is announcing 139 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,595 confirmed resident cases and 684 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 13,478 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 345 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 588 total fatalities countywide.
