The following is a release by Camden County:

The Camden County Board of Freeholders and the Camden County Department of Children’s Services are partnering with Touch New Jersey Food Alliance for a snack distribution event in Gloucester Township.

The event will take place Thursday, Oct. 29 starting at 5:30 p.m. at Camden County College in Gloucester Township.

Snack distribution is open to anyone and both walk-up and drive-thru services will be available. Snacks include gluten free cookies, kraut chips, potato chips, coconut chips, and fruit snacks.

“Job losses continue to make securing nutritious food a struggle for families throughout the county,” said Freeholder Jonathan Young. “The pandemic has adversely affected people from every walk of life. We are continuing to work with our partners in the community to make sure that no one is forced to choose between putting food on the table and keeping the lights on.”

The site expects to be able to serve several hundred families. Food will be distributed as supplies last on a first come, first served basis.
