The Camden County Department of Health on Wednesday reported 51 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 11,359 in Camden County today and 559 total fatalities.
“We are wishing a fast and full recovery to all who have tested positive for COVID-19 in recent days,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.
“We have reached another inflection point in this crisis. Whether this spike in cases gets worse or better will largely depend on the individual efforts of folks throughout our region. Let’s crush this curve and take every step possible to stop the spread of coronavirus. Wear a mask, social distance, and work with our contact tracing team when they call.”
Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,516 confirmed resident cases and 623 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 11,359 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 332 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 559 total fatalities countywide.
