Brynn Wilson, a 16-year-old junior at Cherry Hill High School East, was named National American Miss New Jersey Jr. Teen on Sept. 20.

Wilson has spent hours writing a workbook and empowering students who struggle with learning differences, and teaches others how to advocate for themselves in their learning environments. Brynn was diagnosed at an early age with Attention Deficit Disorder, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and a visual processing disorder, and was told she would never graduate high school. Her workbook, “Grow Your Own Way” has been given out, for free, to over 200 schools, parents and students across New Jersey, and she is looking forward to providing hundreds more.

Wilson, who was featured in a Sun piece back in Oct. 2019, will represent the Garden State at the national competition, in Orlando, Fla., during the week of Thanksgiving.
