Mayors Message: Halloween Parade Canceled

Mayor DiLucia, Councilwoman Katherine Falcone and Deputy Mayor Joe DiLolle attended the ribbon cutting for Luxe Palace Spa on September 5, 2020. We wish their business much success in Monroe Township.

Cecil Fire News

All permits have been received and construction is almost 20 percent complete. Demolition is complete and the new footings have been poured and the masonry walls are being constructed. The framing for the new exterior walls on the engine bays is in progress. Currently the project is several weeks behind schedule due to permits, but the contractor is working towards having the Engine bays completed enough to house the apparatus prior to winter.

Halloween

After much consideration for the health and wellbeing of our residents, the Parks and Recreation Commission has cancelled the 2020 October Festival and Halloween Parade. We hope to come back bigger and better next year. The Township will be hosting Trunk or Treat on October 31 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Pfeiffer Community Center. More details will follow. Please stay healthy and safe.

 Main Street

I am pleased to report that the Main Street resurfacing and handicap ramp replacement project is substantially complete. This project was funded with grants from the New Jersey Department of Transportation and the Community Development Block Program. The project will conclude once the punch list prepared by the Township Engineer is fulfilled.
