The Camden County Department of Health announced on Thursday 32 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 9,673 in Camden County today and 558 total fatalities.
“The hard work of our residents, and the entire New Jersey community, is having immediate and significant impacts,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr.
“In recent days, Governor Murphy has announced opening dates, or signaled the impending opening, of gyms, indoor amusement parks, and indoor dining. This is only possible because our residents have spent months committing themselves to the protection of others by wearing masks and social distancing. If we take this progress into the fall and maintain these practices, we will continue to save lives and get back to something that feels like normal.”
Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,357 confirmed resident cases and 552 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 9,512 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 314 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 558 total fatalities countywide.
