Craft Classes at The Whitall House will be held this fall

The Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders in partnership with Gloucester County Certified Gardeners will hold outdoor craft classes this fall.

There are two classes to choose from this year: Dried Gourd Painting and Glass Mosaics. Classes are $15 per attendee. Payment can be made by cash or checks.

Class times and dates include:

  • Saturday, Sept. 12: Dried Gourd Painting from 10 a.m. to noon and Glass Mosaic from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 3: Glass Mosaic 10 a.m. to noon and Dried Gourd Painting from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

All classes will take place at The Whitall House at Red Bank Battlefield 100 Hessian Ave., National Park.

“These craft classes are a great way to get outside and exercise your creativity,” said Freeholder Robert M. Damminger. “The Gloucester County Certified Gardeners instruct the class and include all supplies in the price of registration.”

Classes will be limited to 10 participants and are held outside under a covered canopy. Social distancing and masks are required.

“A fun, safe way to welcome fall is to come and enjoy our craft classes at The Whitall House at Red Bank Battlefield,” said Freeholder Jim Lavender, liaison to the Department of Parks and Recreation.
