Veterans Wall Phase II

I would like to remind residents that my administration is creating a Veterans Wall Phase II, to honor those who have worn the uniform of the United States Military in Washington Township. This wall will honor veterans who have completed honorable service in the United States Armed Forces during times of conflict and/or non-conflict. Washington Township is proud of our veterans and we want to acknowledge their dedication and sacrifice. With the generous assistance of local donors, we are able to give recognition to their honorable service to our country. If you are interested in being honored on the wall, or have a loved one you would like to honor, please contact Business Administrator Jason Gonter at jgonter@twp.washington.nj.us or (856) 589-0520, ext. 239. Please note that eligibility is limited to persons who have completed active duty service in the United States Military and have been honorably discharged. National Guard members who were deployed overseas in a combat zone are also eligible. Inclusion of a DD 214 or other form of discharge is extremely helpful. Application and photo are due by Nov. 15. We are diligently working on setting up a future date for a formal unveiling of Veterans Wall Phase II.

Washington Twp. Municipal Building

The coronavirus has affected all of our lives. Rest assured Washington Township is closely monitoring the situation and adhering to all guidelines from federal, state and local sources relative to the spread of the virus and its effects. Communication is important. I encourage you to please follow the township’s Facebook page and our website at www.TownshipNJ.com.

The Washington Township Municipal Building is open to residents and visitors. Anyone entering the Municipal Building will be manually checked in/out by the front desk when entering. This will help direct the flow of traffic. Please follow directional arrows, exit signs and social distancing markers. These markers will be placed strategically at the front entrance and throughout the entire building. This is to remind and encourage all employees, as well as visitors, to maintain a social distance of 6 feet apart. A face mask or face covering is required to be worn at all times when entering the building and in shared spaces such as hallways, restrooms and offices. The township will adhere to Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines as well as state and local orders.

Municipal Buildings summer hours are as follows: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Thursday; and closed on Fridays through Labor Day weekend.
