Voorhees school district to present school plan tonight

District anticipated to present return-to-school plan at tonights meeting

The next Voorhees Township Public Schools board of education meeting is scheduled for tonight, Thursday, July 30, starting at 5 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually using the Google Meet platform.

According to the agenda, Superintendent David Gentile is expected to present the district’s plan regarding its return to school this fall. Gov. Phil Murphy instructed last month that school districts must prepare for a plan that allows for students to return to school physically for at least part of the week.

Some school districts are planning to return to a schedule that allows for all students to return to school for the entire week, while others are electing for a hybrid model, incorporating remote learning and in-person instruction. School districts are to submit their return-to-school plans to the state Department of Education no less than 30 days prior to the first day of school.

The agenda for tonight’s meeting can be found here.
