Cherry Hill Police Department reports early-morning shooting, multiple arrests

Three persons, one juvenile arrested for activity in township Days Inn overnight.

Cherry Hill Police Looking for Info on Alleged Public Masturbator(s)

On Friday July 24, at approximately 3:15 a.m., Cherry Hill Police Officers arrived
at the Days Inn for the report of a shooting.

It was determined a firearm was discharged from inside a room and the bullet traveled through two adjacent rooms that were occupied. The individuals in the room where the incident originated were uncooperative, ignored police commands, and refused to exit.

A police negotiator was able to make contact with three of the occupants and after a period of time, they surrendered without incident. Once officers made entry, they located a semi-automatic handgun and the final occupant hiding in the bed frame. All four occupants of the room were arrested without incident. Nearby rooms were evacuated and there were no injuries to police, any bystanders or the occupants of the room.

One defendant was transported to a local hospital for the complaint of chest pain.

Arrested: Frank C. Sapele, 25 years of age, 3000 Block of Washington Blvd. Arlington, Va.
Charges: Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Causing or Risking Widespread Injury or Damage, Criminal Mischief, Obstruction, and Possession of
Marijuana and remanded to the Camden County Jail.

Arrested: Joshua F. Riquelme-Powers, 24 years of age, 40000 Block of Ravensworth Rd. Annandale, Va. Charges- Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Causing or Risking Widespread Injury or Damage, Obstruction, and Possession of Marijuana and remanded to the Camden County Jail.

Arrested: Tahjmae R. Ford, 19 years of age, 4000 Block of Valley Place, Philadelphia. Charges- Obstruction, Hindering, and Possession of Marijuana.

Arrested: Juvenile Female- Woodbridge, Va.
