2020 Census
Residents: it is not too late to fill out the 2020 Census. Your confidential answers to the census can impact funding for roads, libraries and schools. Your response can help small businesses make critical decisions on expansions, closures, hiring strategies and much more. The results of the 2020 Census will help determine how hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding flow into communities every year for the next decade. The funding shapes many different aspects of every community, regardless of size or location. Census results influence highway planning and construction, as well as grants for buses, subways and other public transit systems. Census results can also help determine how money is allocated for the Head Start program and for grants that support teachers and special education. The list goes on, including programs to support rural areas, to restore wildlife, to prevent child abuse, to prepare for wildfires and to provide housing assistance for older adults.

It is especially important now more than ever as the State of New Jersey recovers from the physical and economic toll of the pandemic. Washington Twp. Municipal Building
The Washington Township Municipal Building is now open to residents and visitors. Anyone entering the municipal building will be manually checked in/out by the front desk when entering. This will help direct the flow of traffic. Please follow directional arrows, exit signs and social distancing markers. These markers will be placed strategically at the front entrance and throughout the entire building. This is to remind and encourage all employees, as well as visitors, to maintain a social distance of six feet apart. A face mask or face covering is required to be worn at all times when entering the building and in shared spaces such as hallways, restrooms and offices. The township will adhere to Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines as well as State and local orders.
The Municipal Building’s summer hours are as follows: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays. The building is closed on Fridays through Labor Day weekend.
