Evesham Road to close overnight in Gloucester Township

Evesham Road will fully close between Black Horse Pike and Schubert Avenue

Freeholder Barbara Holcomb, has been notified by South Jersey Gas that crews will be restoring Evesham Road in Gloucester Township overnight tonight, July 22, and Clements Bridge Road in Runnemede overnight tomorrow, July 23. The project will require the full closure of Evesham Road tonight, and a lane shift on Clements Bridge Road tomorrow.

“Even overnight projects can create additional traffic, sudden stops and possible congestion while crews are at work,” Holcomb said. “If you are driving throughout the surrounding area, remember to be extra cognizant of shifting traffic patterns, and always remain vigilant for any crews, vehicles, or debris which may end up in the roadway.”

Beginning at 7 p.m. tonight, Evesham Road will fully close between Black Horse Pike and Schubert Avenue. The road will reopen at 5 a.m. the following morning. Motorists will be directed along a posted detour to circumvent the area.

Beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, there will be a lane shift at the intersection of Clements Bridge Road and Schubert Avenue.

This project is scheduled to be completed by 5 a.m. on Friday, July 24. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
